NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 25 : The news of hundreds of Kenyans flocking to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) for job interviews in Qatar highlights the growing interest in international job opportunities among Kenyans. Qatar, with its strong demand for foreign workers, particularly in areas like construction, hospitality, and security, has become a popular destination for employment among Kenyans.
They were joined by Alfred Mutua, who interacted with them, urging them to continue trying. These comes after the president had promised jobs back then.

These job interviews offer opportunities in preparation for the ongoing workforce needs due to events and infrastructural development in Qatar. While such openings provide chances for Kenyans to earn better wages, concerns around worker rights, contract transparency, and fair treatment have also been raised. This gathering at KICC shows the high level of unemployment locally and the appeal of better-paying opportunities abroad.
The big question is, will there be more cries as it has been before?
