While Kenya has already secured automatic qualification for the 2025 CHAN tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from February 1-28, 2025, the national team is determined to make a strong statement in the qualifiers.

Stars will face South Sudan in the first leg on October 27, 2024, at Juba International Stadium while the return leg is scheduled for November 3, 2024, at Mandela National Stadium in Uganda.

 Patrick Matasi has been dropped  from the squad with Kenya U20 shot-stopper Ibrahim Wanjala who impressed in u20 Afcon qualifiers and KCB’s FarukShikhalo making the team. There is also return to the national team for Police FC defender Musa Mohammed (Kenya Police FC).
